1. Emotional intelligence

   • Skills in managing emotions and recognizing them in other people.
     • ‘Being able to motivate one- self and persist in the face of frustrations; to control impulse and delay gratifi- cation; to regulate one’s moods and keep distress from swamping the ability to think; to empathize and to hope’ (Goleman, 1996).
       • An Experience I have with emotional Intelligence is when I noticed my mom was irritated because of something that happened and I got her flowers because I wanted her to feel better.

2. General Intelligence

   • A single factor underlying intelligence. This factor tends to yield higher IQ scores.
     • The capacity to acquire and apply knowledge.(The American Heritage dictionary, fourth edition,2000)
       • An experience I have with general knowledge is when I took a test for the military an I got one of the highest test scores they had seen.

3. Fluid and crystalized

   • Fluid intelligence: is thinking quickly and flexibly in novel, complex situations. Crystallized intelligence: knowledge from experience that is used to solve problems.

4. Triarchic Theory

   • There are three aspects of Intelligence Analytical intelligence: skills in solving problems and puzzles.
   • Creative Intelligence; Ability to think in new and interesting ways.
   • Practical Intelligence: Skill in dealing with everyday tasks.

5. Multiple Intelligence

   • These Intelligences include musical, bodily-kinesthetic, linguistic, mathematical/logical, spatial, intrapersonal, and interpersonal
