1. fire wall

   • makes sure different data doesnt/does go inside
   • there are bays and lots of openings
   • this can protect me by making sure I can send data safely

2. passwords

   • keeps data secure
   • can protect your computer and important data
   • this can protect me by hiding important information such as birth days and address

3. user access levels

   • makes sure that ONLY allowed individuals are allowed to see certain things
   • there are few levels of access (e.g - data or messages)
   • this can protect me and my computer by making sure unwanted visitors don,t enter

4. physical security

   • protects the computer and wires
   • often (if in a big building ) in a different room with lots of cables
   • this can protect me by making sure my computer and cables don't over heat

5. encryption

   • puts things into a code
   • it makes a code that is hard to solve and can be hidden in a sentance
   • this can protect me by hiding my data and making sure its scrambled
