1. command line Interface

   • advantages
     • If the user knows the correct commands then this type of interface can be much faster than any other type of interface
     • A CLI does not require Windows to run
     • A low resolution, cheaper monitor can be used with this type of interface
     • This type of interface needs much less memory (RAM) in order to use compared to other types of user interfaces
     • This type of interface does not use as much CPU processing time as others
   • disadvantages
     • commands need to be typed precisely
     • it can be confusing
     • if you make a mistke in the command you might need to retype the whole thing again
     • you need to learn commands
     • you vant guess what the instruction might be

2. Graphical User Interface

   • disadvantages
     • GUI needs a high amount of storage space
     • system functionality can not be adjasted or adapted
   • advantages
     • provides shortcuts
     • easy to communicate
     • allows multitasking
     • easy to use
