   • A+S came up with a flow chart displaying three separate stores in our memory

3. Sensory Memory

   • Duration= 1/4 1/2 a second
   • Capacity= All sensory memory- Large capacity
   • Encoding- Sense specific

4. Short Term Memory

   • Capicity- +7/-2- Miller
   • Duration- Peterson and Peterson - Up to 30 secs
     • Trigrams- recall 8- after 3 secs
     • 10% after 18 secs
   • Encoding Conrad- showed participants a sequence. Visual - acoustic code
