   • Backups
     • Full Backup
       • A copy of every file on the computer is taken and saved
       • Takes a long time to back up. But faster to restore
     • Incremental Backup
       • Take one full backup and then will only edit, create or delete changed files since last backup
       • Shorter incremental backups. Longer restore
   • Defragmentation
     • Groups files together when they are fragmented on a disk for faster load times
   • Compression
     • Reduces the size of files, so that they take up less space on the disk
     • Lossy
       • Original file cannot be restored, but is close, smaller file size than lossless
     • Lossless
       • Original file can be restored, but has larger file size than lossy
   • Encryption
     • Encrypts data so that it cannot be read without the key
