REPTILES

1. Reptiles are generally terrestial vertebrates which, in many cases, move by crawling or slithering

2. The characteristics: They have thin skin, they are ectothermic, They have lungs for breathing

3. NUTRITION : Generally are carnivores, others are hervivores

4. Reproduction: The reptiles reproduce sexually.

   • Some of them are oviparus and their eggs have an impermeable shell

5. There are 3 types of reptiles the chelonians, crocodillians and squamates

6. Chelonians: Can be acuatic or terrestrial , they dont have any teeth , their mandibles form a beak that it is use to cut food.

   • They have a shell which covers their trunk

7. Crocodillians : Live in water and of land , they are large and have large scales.

   • They are predators that have powerfull jaws with strong teeth

8. Squamates: Are characterised by their forked tongue , in fact they regularly moult, there are two groups of scaled reptiles : saurians and ophidians
