Von Neumann Architecture

1. Von Neumann created the first desktop computer that we still use now

   • These types of computers were called Von Neumann Architecture

2. Inside a desktop computer there is a part which is called the CPU-Center Processing unit

   • The purpose of a CPU is to, fetch,decode+execute instructions (process data)
     • This cycle will go on until it is told to stop

3. The PC (Program Counter) holds the address of the next instruction in memory

4. Program Counter> Memory address register> Memory data register> Accumulator

5. These computers have fans in the desktop computer so that they don't overheat while they work

   • Calculators are similar examples for computers because they have similar parts to a desktop computer
