- Each field can have different data types
- A collection of related fields
Lists
- Mutable - can be edited after creation
Tuples
- Immutable - cannot be edited once created
Static Data structure - a collection of data in memory that is fixed in size
- Inefficient as memory for data structure is set aside at start of program

- Unused memory can be allocated and de-allocated while the program is running
- Can cause memory overflow
