WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SHORT AND A LONG ADJETIVE
- The short adjective has one or two syllables in its word. The long adjective is made up of more than two syllables. This would not be a great difference or explanation but it is more noticeable when the same adjectives are used in comparative sentences, they must change for example In comparative sentences the short adjective is changed like this. happy (happier) but in long adjectives it is more common to use the word more before the adjective. example: more dangerous.
WHEN A COMPARATIVE ADJETIVE IS USED?
