CONDITIONALS

1. ZERO

   • EXAMPLES:
     • If you run here, you get tired
     • The fish die If you don't feed him
     • If you have to work tomorrow, when do you wake up?
   • ESTRUCTURE
     • If + sub + present simple, sub + present simple
   • Is used to express facts that are always true

2. FIRST

   • It refers to situations that we consider highly probable.
   • ESTRUCTURE
     • If + sub + present simple, sub + future simple
   • EXAMPLES:
     • If you study, You will have 10
     • I won´t go,If its rains
     • What will We do If I go tomorrow?

3. SECOND

   • It is used to talk about events that are unlikely to happen in the future.
   • ESTRUCTURE
     • If + sub + past simple, sub + would + verb in infinitive (without to)
   • EXAMPLES:
     • if the car was faster, it would have arrived earlier
     • Boris would lose weight if He ate less.
     • If your family won the lottery, what would you do?

4. THIRD

   • It is used to think about situations in the past that did not happen and imagine what results they would have had.
   • ESTRUCTURE
     • If + past perfect, sub + would + have + verbo in past participle
   • EXAMPLES:
     • If They had had time, They would have bought you a t shirt
     • I’d have come to the meeting if you’d told me about it.
     • Would he have accepted the offer if they’d reduced the price?

5. MIXED

   • They are a combination of two different conditionals, usually between the second and third conditional.
   • ESTRUCTURE
     • If + sub + past perfect, sub + would + verb in infinitive
     • If + sub + past simple, sub + would + have + verb in participle
   • EXAMPLES
     • If I had seen the serie, I would tell you what it's about.
     • If I had more money I would have taken you with me
