Questionnaries

  1. Definition

    • A questionnaire is a research tool consisting of a series of questions and other prompts intended to elicit information from respondents.
    • Although they are often designed to allow for statistical analysis of responses, this is not always the case.
  2. Issues

    • Short and confused questions
    • Particpant data could be insifficent
    • Closed questions avoid important information
  3. Uses

    • By using questionnaires, the analyst may be seeking to quantify what has been discovered in the interviews. In addition, they could be used to determine how widespread or limited a sentiment expressed in an interview actually is.
    • On the other hand, questionnaires can be used to survey a sizeable sample of system users in order to detect problems or highlight important issues before interviews are conducted.
  4. Limitaton

    • 5. Some questions are difficult to analyse 6. Respondents may have their own intentions 7. Lack of personalisation 8. Omitted questions
    • 1. Lack of honesty 2. Lack of conscientious responses 3. Differences in understanding and interpretation 4. Feelings and meanings that are not well conveyed.
  5. Data Analysis
