     • E.G: Reported question: She asked me if i lived far from there

2. STATEMENTS

   • E.G: Direct statement: I'm going to visit Canada
   • E.G: Reported statement: She said that she was going to vivit Canada
   • Form: Subject + said/told + that + clause

3. REQUESTS

   • Form: Subject + ask me + to + infinitive
   • Negative form: We add "not"
   • E.G: Direct request: Could you please pass me the salt?
   • E:G: Reported request: She asked me to pass her the salt

4. ORDERS

   • Form: Subject + tell me + to + infinitive
   • E.G: Direct question: Stop doing that!
