Types of interview

1. Due to the structure

   • Structured
     • Mainly established scripts and are applicable to several people at the same time
   • Unstructured
     • Generate spontaneity and trust, they allow a fluid conversation
   • Mixed
     • Determine which questions will be open and which are closed

2. Due to the number of participants

   • Individual
     • It is mainly used for reasons of confidentiality and self-consciousness
   • Collective
     • Mainly used to reduce the subjectivity of the researcher but it must be a topic in which the study subject feels comfortable

3. Due to the number of interviews

   • Initial interview
     • It is applied to know the suitability of the subject for future research according to what is wanted to know
   • Selection interview
     • Allows us to evaluate motivations, skills and attitudes for a position or profile sought
   • Final interview
     • Applied to the subjects that we consider can give us the most appropriate results for the profile sought

4. Due to the level of tension

   • Normal
     • Generate a climate of trust and its purpose is to eliminate the anxiety of the study subjects
   • Hard
     • Generating reactions in the study subjects, mainly to know their decision-making and perceptions on controversial issues
