Types Of Devices

1. Input

   • Mouse
     • A mouse detects when you press a button, turns the info into code then passes it into the device
   • keyboard
   • Touch Screen
     • touch screens have a censor that detects when you touch the screen, inputing the info through the device.
   • Microphone
     • Microphones collect the sound that is being inputing into it, and inputs that sound into its device
   • Controller
     • Controllers input the information to your console when a button is pressed, showing on the consoles monitor
   • USB
     • A USB plugs into a device and inputs the storage through it
   • Webcam
     • webcams capture video through its camera, turns it into code then inputs it through the device.

2. Storage

   • DVD/CD
     • DVD's and CD's store data on the disks that can be read by lasers. The data is stored using bumps on the disk
   • Blu-Ray
     • Blu-rays store data like DVDs but have more memory, allowing them to store more.
   • USB
     • A USB stores the data that is transferred into its SSD until parts of the data is transferred out or there is so much memory stored that it runs out of room
   • Hard-drive
     • Hard-disks use multiple disks that store data and are read by a laser.
   • SD Card
     • An SD card stores memory such as pictures, music and apps on a mobile phone and other types of mobile devices.

3. Output

   • Printer
     • Printers output the code they are given through inking guns and onto paper.
   • Projector
     • Projectors collect the information from the device they are receiving it from and output it through a hugely magnified image
   • Television
     • Televisions work similar to the monitor. It collects radio waves and outputs them onto the screen
   • Monitor
     • Monitors collect code from a computer and outputs the info onto the screen.
   • Speaker
     • speakers output the code they are given through a electric current that travels through a metal coil and out of speakers.
   • Headset
     • Collects the code when plugged into a device and outputs the sound through electric currents

4. Processor

   • Pay Card
     • A paycard processes payments by storing the information of a payment and checking to see if there is enough money to pay for things
   • Game Console
     • Processes the code and data being passed into its software.
   • Computer
     • Computers store and process all of the data being transferred into its software and runs it through the motherboard, to then desplay it.
   • Ticket/Card Machine
     • When a object has been inserted into the machine, it processes the data and info from it then sends it through the software
   • CPU
     • A cpu fetches, decodes, and executes data. This then outputs data onto the monitor
