SEMANTICS

1. What you already knew about it.

   • - The only thing I knew about semantics, is that we as future English teachers have to be aware of the meaning that this term has, and also that it had something to do with the meaning of words.

2. What you learned through exposure.

   • - I learned that there can exist many meanings for one word or sentence, depending on the context that is being used, and for that reason we can face many problems with semantics, since we can be misunderstood when we express ourselves to another person, because we all have our own meanings about certain words. For that reason, is that we have to be aware of the speech we use in our daily life. I also learned that semantics is divded into concepts that are very important to know about, in order to clearly understand in the whole sense this term.

3. Concerns about the topic.

   • - My cocerns are the possible problems that we can face, For example; being misunderstood, and the difficulties that we can have when it comes to learn a new language.
