g(x)=f(x)+k (press for a video if you want extra help)
what does k mean:
if the value plugged in for K is positive, move the given line up how ever many units it says
if the value plugged in for K is negative, move the given line up how ever many units it says
if g(x)=f(x)+6, you would move your given line 6 units up on the graph
if g(x)=f(x)-6, you would move your given line down 6 units on the graph
When g(x)=f(x-y)+k:
if there is a value that is plugged into the brackets with x, then you would move the graph either to the left or to the right
if the y value if negative, move the given line to the right
if the y value is positive, move the given line to the left
if g(x)= f(x-8), you would move the given line to the right 8 units
if g(x)=f(x+8), you would move the given line to the left 8 units
