population
Factors that influence the rates of natural increases in the population of a country
- access to clean safe drinking water - this is important because it is an essential part of life and is used for everything
-contraception pills - the uses of contraception pills allows the birthrates to fall when they are to high and allows woman to have a say if they want to have a baby or not
- access to healthy food - if you eat a healthy diet than you are more likely to live longer however if you eat junk food and become obese than you are most likely to die younger. this would depress the population
- antibiotics - death rates will go down and birthrates go up because more people are living for longer therefore the population will increase.
- lifestyle - lots of people have children later so they can travel more and spend more money on themselves and start a career so birth rates go down.
- family income - people in Africa like to have lots of children to help work on farms and to bring more family income. this would increase the population
- education - women have a choice in whether they want to have a child or not as more and more people are educated on contraception
- infant mortality - this means a decrease in population if there is an increase in death rates this is because of the lack of proper medication this can start from not having clean food for water
- natural disasters - decrease in world population. increases in death rate. Natural disasters can kill lots of people at once and in LEDCs the people who are injured usually don't get the correct health care
