Penis Envy continued - those women who cannot accept the absence of a penis attempt to acquire masculinity by going against their natural feminine roles.

through engaging in criminal behavior, they for them it signifies masculinity to compensate for their lack of maleness. so in other words they attempt to be a man (Klein 1973)
