There are a lot of automated tasks in the world around us. These tasks are controlled by a computer through programming.
Programming is the way in which we tell the computer what, when and where to do something. In order to do that, we need a computer program, which is a set of instructions to perform an activity or to do a task.
Instructions are called algorithms and they are different depending on their function. Algorithms are represented in a flowchart.

Programming languages.
Basically, there are two types of programming languages.
High-level language. Is the language of humans, made up of words.
Low-level language. Is the machine language, such as binary code (100010001000011)
We need to translate the high-level language into the low-level language we use a compiler, which is a kind of translator.
