• Migrants still work in Urban areas, pollution.
• Villages become ghost towns during day.
• Derelict Farm buildings turned into habitable dwellings, adds to the aesthetic value and Community well-being.

Social Changes

• Traditions not valued by newcomers.
• Local schools increase in pupils = able to stay open.
• Church Parishes amalgamated as newcomers do not go.

Economic Changes

• House prices rise as demand rises, locals cannot afford to buy them and have to move away.
• Migrants do not support local businesses and do shopping in Urban areas where they work.
• Some local services supported E.G. public houses, local tradesman.

Demographic Changes

• People who move to rural areas are affluent, either have a young family or are retired.
