- An integer is another name for a whole number - either a positive or negative number, or zero.
- All numbers are either rational or irrational. Rational numbers can be written as fractions. Most numbers you deal with are rational. Irrational numbers are messy. They can't be written as a fraction - they're never ending, non-repeating decimals.
- BODMAS - Brackets, Other, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction
- Bodmas tells you the Order in which these operations should be done: Work out Brackets first, then Other things like squaring, then Divide/Multiply groups, before Adding or Subtracting them.
