FOR (Para / Por) | Se usa para expresar la duración de una acción, el periodo de una acción o un evento. Se debe usar para un intervalo de tiempo. Asimismo, “for” se puede usar prácticamente con todos los tiempos verbales, especialmente los continuos. |

SINCE (Desde) | Se usa para indicar un momento a partir del cual la acción continúa.Se habla de este punto desde el presente, es decir, la acción sigue en curso. Normalmente lo vamos a encontrar con tiempos verbales de pasado |

AGO (Hace) | Se refiere a un tiempo en el pasado o un tiempo antes del actual y va al final de la frase. y se usa con el pasado simple. |
EJEMPLOS | Richard finished university three years AGO. I called you ten minutes AGO. She quit smoking a long time AGO. |
