what is cyber bullying? cyber bullying is where somebody uses electronic/virtual forms of contact to send malicious or harmful messages to intentionally offend or upset someone.
what are privacy settings? privacy settings are what you use to filter who sees your post or can add you as a friend or whether your account is private or not.
what is hacking? hacking is where somebody gains illegal access to accounts or profiles etc.hacking is also used in games so the hacker can have everything straight away or be invincible etc.
what is phishing? phishing is where somebody uses email to acquire information and passwords so they can access people's accounts (in particular bank accounts).
what is copyright? copyright is where somebody puts a patent on an idea for example fidget spinners had a patent which ran out and wasn't reset and made someone lose millions of pounds.copyright is also used so people can't use something like a photo without permission.
why is copyright so important? copyright is important because without it if someone invented something ground breaking and helpful a bigger company could take the idea and sell more and take the blame for making it.
what is malware? malware is a type of malicious software used to spread a virus and damage an innocent persons computer system.
how do you protect yourself from hacking? one way to protect yourself from being hacked is to not give out personal information and another is to use numbers, spaces, capital letters and keyboard symbols to make your password more secure
how do you protect yourself from viruses? one way to protect yourself from viruses is to make sure email have the correct address and to use https websites this means it has a more secure firewall and network.
what happens if you break copyright law? breaking copyright law can end up in being fined a lot of money or sentenced to jail.
what is an input device? an input device is any hardware device that sends data to a computer system E.G a keyboard
what is an output device? an output device is any device that outputs information from itself E.G a speaker.
what is a storage device? a storage device is a device used to store information such a computer.
give an example of input, process and output input-keyboard, process-motherboard and output-speakers.
what is the purpose of a power supply? the main purposes of a power supply are to convert ac to dc and provide dc voltage to the motherboard, adaptors and peripheral devices.
what is the purpose of the computer case? the computer case is used to hold in all the components of the computer like a skeleton.
what is the purpose of the motherboard? the motherboard is used to hold together some of the most crucial components of a computer such as the CPU and memory connectors for input and output.
what is the purpose of the processor? the processor is used to run programs and send and receive signals to connected devices and keep the computer running.
what is the purpose of the RAM? the RAM is used to store the operating system application programs and data in current use so they can be quickly accessed by the device's processor, data stays in ram as long as the device is running.
what is the purpose of ROM? ROM or read only memory is used to store a programme used to boot up the computer, this is called the bootstrap loader.
what is the purpose of the hard drive? the hard drive is used to store long time data such as important files.
what is repetitive strain injury and what causes them? it is normally strain to the fingers and eyes this can be stopped by taking frequent breaks and/or turning down screen brightness.
what is the main cause of back injury when using a computer? the main cause of back injury when using a computer is having an uncomfortable chair or being hunch over for a long amount of time.
what is eye strain and what are the causes ? eye strain is where your eyes are hurt or damaged this can be caused by high screen brightness or by sitting to close to your computer.
By law, what do employers have to provide for their employees? (in regards to working with computers) adjustable screens, anti-glare screen filters, adjustable chairs, foot support, suitable lighting and workstations are not cramped.
