what is a storage device? a storage device is a device that can store data for when you need it for example a memory card.
what is the purpose of the power supply? a power supply is an component that supplies components in a computer with power
what is the purpose of the computer case? the computer case is there to protect your computer and to keep all of the components of your computer together.
what is the purpose of the motherboard? It holds together many of the crucial components of a computer, including the central processing unit (CPU), memory and connectors for input and output devices.
what is the purpose of the processor? the processor acts as the computer's brain, running programs and sending and receiving signals to attached devices to keep the computer running.
what is the purpose of the RAM? RAM (random access memory) is where, application programs and data in current use are kept so they can be quickly reached by the device's processor.
what is the purpose of ROM? Stores a program used to boot up the computer. This is called the bootstrap loader
what is the purpose of the Hard Drive? the hard drive is where all of your documents,pictures,programs are stored on your computer
what is repetitive strain injury and how is is caused? it is usually damage to the fingers and wrists caused by repeated movement over a long period of time
what is the cause of back injuries when using a computer? it is caused by having poor posture an sitting in an awkward position.
what is eye strain and what is the cause? where your eyes are damaged or hurt and is usually caused by staring at a screen for a long time especially in poor light, in glare or a flickering screen
by law, what do employers have to provide for their employees? (in regards to working with computers) they have to provide anti-glare screen filters, adjustable chairs, foot supports, suitable lighting, workstations are not cramped and staff get to take frequent breaks when working on a computer
what is the purpose of Binary? computers store , communicate and share data using 1's and 0's
What 4 devices are needed to connect to the internet? telephone line modem or router. an Internet Service Provider Web browser,
how many bits are in a binary number? 8
