So, Janata Party govt (1977) enabled their pol. expression ( From Bharatiya Kranti Dal & Samyukta Socialist Party) > 1980's- National Front makes Mandal decision and spurs National debate. > OBC Politics - They became more aware of their ID - could be mobilised. - Parties for OBC pride - bc they were a huge part of population
Political Organisation of Dalits > 1978 - BAMCEF formed. > Favouring BAHUJAN > Parties from BAMCEF- Dalit Shoshit Samaj Sangharsh Samiti Also, BSP. > BSP- 1989 & 1991 breakthrough in UP. > KANSHI RAM- used Bahujans for pragmatic politics (practical approach of utilizing their numbers for power).
