Question Answer
Although transitions may be challenging they can result in growth, change and a range of consequences for the individual and others 2 The story of tom Brennan by J.C burke show a range of consequences that our youth is facing and how the responsibility's of our actions can change our lives.
as a person of the youth myself, I can say I am open to a range of actions and responsibility's that can change my life and the life's of others around me like. 4 learning to drive underage drinking and excessive drinking car culture example speeding accidents or death in our school or community and drugs
tom is open to all of these actions as I am, but the bad thing is, tom has come face to face with these and has change a great amount because of this. 6 "the silences followed hurt like mad. the thing about this pain was that it was there, but these encounters sent it peaking before it settled back to a constant dull ache'
"constant dull ache" tom is feeling the consequences of others actions. the "pain"-Tom's realisation that " things would never be the same" 8 The "anger"- at not having an opportunity to say goodbye to his mates before leaving Mumbilli" this is creating a build of emotions that tom as not came across before.
With the build up of emotions that people should not be exposed to. Thordis Elva and tom stranger has seen this first hand and because of what they had done 10 TED talk our story of rape and reconciliation Thordis is a rape victim of tom. something as big as rape ,can and will, destroy someone's life if this build up of emotion is not over come and resolved
"I was raised in a world where girls are taught that they get raped for a reason. their skirt was too short, their smile was to wide, their breath smelled of alcohol" 12 the uses of the word "their" and the Repetition is showing that it is not "their" fault and just going against what she just said because they don't dress like that to be raped, she is stereotypeing boys.
the transitions of growing up and facing all these new things is hard on a person. the youth is always being challenged with new experiences but this leads to growth 14 thank you for listening Bryant smith 2018
