Electrical Shock Current is the flow of electrons measured in Amperes (A) Very small levels of current can ultimately kill you. (e.g. milliamperes: mA) To receive an electric shock you must become part of the circuit.
0.5mA - 2mA Threshold of perception
2mA - 10mA Painful sensation, increasing with current
10mA - 25mA Cramp and inability to let go. Increase in blood pressure. Breathing difficulties caused by muscular contractions of the lungs
25mA - 80mA Severe muscular contractions sometimes with bone fractures. Increased blood pressure. Loss of consciousness from heart and breathing failure
80mA + Burns at point of contact. Death from heart failure.
