Question Answer
Describe the difference between balanced and unbalanced forces. Unbalanced forces cause motion or a change in the state of motion in an object. Balanced forces do not cause a change in an objects state of motion.

Does the inertia of an object change as it's velocity does? No inertia is not affected by velocity
What is newtons 1st law of motion. An object in moving stays at a constant velocity unless an unbalanced force acts upon it.
How do airbags assist in an accident? It keeps you from banging your head on the dashboard as it inflates then deflates.
How does friction increase when a larger force pushes to surfaces togeather. As the surfaces get closer the number of static friction increases.
What are the 4 types of friction that we studied in class that one event. Applied- The Force applied by one object onto another. Air resistance- The force applied on an object moving through the air. Normal- The force exerted on a resting stable object. Tension- The force transmitted by two objects pulling on each other.
What is newtons second law of motion? the acceleration of an object is dependent upon two variables - the applied acting upon the object and the mass of the object.
Formula for acceleration. f=m X a
The formula for net force. A= Force over Mass
