- 1what is a botnet? A network of private computers infected with a virus and controlled by one computer as a group without the owners knowledge e.g. to send spamHow does a botnet work?
1. They send millions of SPAM to email address hopping that links are clicked to earn money
2.Denial of service. The network sends so many requests to a server so it cant handle it causing it not to respond and stop working - 2What is malware? Malicious Software. Software which is designed to disrupt damage or gain authorized access to a computer system.What is adware?
Adware is a name for pop up advertisements that appear on your computer. Pop ups show a item when you click on it nothing is there and the person who made the adware gets money when u click on it. - 3what is spyware? spyware collects information about your habits online and collects your personal information using the internet to pass it on. The user accidentally with out knowing gives permission for programmes to install or changes programs with out the user knowing.
