Give an example of when the context or environment will have a direct influence? an example is a ski helmet which must be desighned to protect the user in the event of a crash and keep them warm but well-ventilated. the user is alo likely to be wearing bulky clothing and googles.

What does understanding the user's requirements allow for the design of the products? understanding a user's requirements allows for the design of products that are fit for purpose and function.
what will stakeholders often influence ? Give and example other skate holders will often influence the design of products for a primary user such as the health and safety executive (HSE) or other regulatory bodies
what are the stakeholders aim? their aim is to ensure that products meet users requirements in terms of material choices and manufacturing technologies.
what are stakeholders? the stakeholders of a product are all those come into contact with it have some sort of interest or 'stake' in it, or affected by it in some way.
in what different ways do skateholders influence , involve, or part of the product? all skateholderswill have some influence on the marketing economics, or desighning of a product and can be involved in or be a part of the product in different ways: - in the designing, manufacturing, retailing, and marketing processes - in the repair recycling and maintenance processes - by supplying components or energy -by working in the regulatory or standardisation bodies - by working in government agencies
what is important when determining user requirements? to determine user requirements it is important for a designer to investigate the context of use and observe how products are being used by people.
what six questions should be asked in a context of use investigation? where? who? why? what? when? how?
what will asking these questions give them understanding of? asking these questions during the investigation gives them an example of: -problems or difficulties - opportunities for new products - the merit of existing solutions - users interest in a new solution -feedback from users and stakeholders
