Cards in this deck (6)
- 1Scatter graphs and frequency polygonsScatter graph definition:The aim of drawing a scatter graph is to determine if there is a link or relationship between the two variables that have been plotted.
- 2Types of correlation in scatter graphsPositive: when it goes upwards from left to right
Negative: when it goes downwards from left to right
You can also say that it is a weak or strong correlation. Always say correlation - 3Can you predict data from outside of graphNo because of uncertainty called extrapolation this is when the data that needs to be answered is outside the dat given.
- 4Frequency polygonsFrequency Polygon. A graph made by joining the middle-top points of the columns of a frequency histogram.
- 5Whats the difference between a scatter graph and a frequency polygonA frequency polygon takes the mid points of certain data
- 6How do you plot a frequency polygonYou make a tally sheet using the midpoints and the as normal create a graph. At the end you have to make sure that you join the lines together.
