Must= Logically probable= He MUST be exhausted. He hasn´t slept for 24 hours! Can't= Logically improbable= She can't have ten-year-old daughter! She's only 24! Might= He MIGHT be lost May= They MAY be stuck in traffic COULD= You COULD win the lottery this week. Who knows!
*Couldn't RARELY is used in this context. Might not= I MIGHT NOT to be able to come tonight. May not= They MAY NOT know where we are. Must= You MUST BE jokING. Can't= They CAN'T still BE eatING. Might= Peter MIGHT BE workING late. May= They MAY BE comING on a later train. Could= I COULD BE sittING on a beach right now.
The second one is: ASKING ABOUT POSIBILITIES. Do you think= DO YOU THINK she's married? And the last one is: PROBABILITY IN THE PAST Have + pp= He must HAVE CAUGHT a later train.
Must/can't/may/might/could + have + pp Must+have+pp= He MUST HAVE BEEN exhausted Can't+have+pp= She CAN'T HAVE TOLD him about us yet Must/can't/may/might/could + have + been + ing Must+have+been+ing= She MUST HAVE BEEN jokING Can't+have+been+ing= They CAN'T HAVE BEEN tryING very hard
