Bioreactor is the name of the vessel where bioprocessing takes place. Large vessel which the micro organisms are placed into , then the medium and oxygen. Foam breaker used to break down bubbles and foam. Constantly stirred to mix substrate and enzymes Quality of the product depends on the stirring and Contaminents present, pH , Temperature ect. Lots of organisms are used and new ones are being gentically engineered. e.g old bioprocessing - baking with yeast new - making hormones, insulin
