Question Answer
What do you think of when you see a cross? The Bible reveals that Jesus "made peace by the blood of His cross" (Col. 1:20) How can Jesus make us at peace with God?
Jesus took our place! "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit." (1 Peter 3:18)
Jesus gave us His righteousness "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Cor. 5:21)
Jesus absorbed God's wrath “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.” (Romans 5:8-9)
Jesus separates us from our sin "as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us." (Psalm 103:12) "for this is the blood of the convenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins" (Matt 26:28)
Heaven awaits those who trust Christ "Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world." (John 17:24)
Your response to the cross of Jesus "And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." (Luke 9:23)
Repent: turn away from your sin! "testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 20:21) "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out" (Acts 3:19)
