This kind of location is quite a typical convention of a thriller however it allowed us to create a eerie atmosphere... | and also helps to build tension.This is because it developed the narrative of our opening since this is where we see the antagonist and realize she has escaped from prion and is therefore destroying her old identity as shown in flashbacks throughout. |
| The second location was set in a kitchen -during this the audience begins to understand what the antagonists has done. | By having the kitchen as the setting this helps to create verisimilitude and also a sense on mystery since no one appears in the shot and is only shown briefly, this allowed us to challenge typical conventions. |
| Our final location was set in the schools toilets/changing room however in the production it was supposed to be set in a prison. Theses locations are typical conventions of a prison since its old looking and dull. | We challenged typical convention of real media products since we based our production from the point of view of the prisoner where we see their surrounding based in a prison cell. This differs compared to other existing medias who mainly base the production from the point of view of the police officer and are set normally in police offices. |
