Question Answer
Module 6.3 Practical Circuits By Rahma Abdelgadir Class 9B
What are the 2 main types of circuit usually found in homes? 1. Series Circuit 2. Parallel Circuits
What is a series circuit? A circuit with all its components arranged in a line thus forming a single loop.
Fact about series circuits Series circuits are the easiest of all circuits to connect together.
What components does a series circuit have? Components within a series circuit have the same current flowing through them. Although split the voltage between them.
Why are series circuits not very practical? -The globes cannot be controlled individually with a switch -Current stops flowing around them if a globe 'blows'. -Adding more globes to the circuit makes them duller than before.
What is a parallel circuit? A circuit that has a number of branches each with its own components.
What does a typical parallel circuit look like?
