Question Answer
What is diffusion? Spreading of molecules from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration
Diffusion takes place along... A concentration Gradient
what is the concentration gradient? The measurement of concentration in a specific region, usually comparing to another region.
What is density? A physical property that shows relationship between mass and volume
How does density work? More volume and less matter------> less denser Less volume and more matter (particles are closer) ------> more dense Finding the density is based on atomic mass and distance between particles
what is convection? movement of heat energy in fluids
how does convection work? The heated particles move/rise to areas of low heat and they expand until the heat is lost and new heated particles take its place while it settles down.
