Prokaryotic: A single cell organism, no nucleus, have nucleoid to contain DNA e.g. bacteria Eukaryotic: they have a nucleus and other organelles, usually larger e.g. Animals, plants, fungi
Stem Cell Types: Embryonic cells: Controversial (taken from embryo) but can differentiate into different cells, can cure disease Adult Cells: Can ask permission but can't differentiate like embryonic, only to the area they were taken from e.g. lung Meristem cells: can make all types of cells from plants at any age, found close to tip of shoot Specialisations: Muscle- Makes Movement possible Red blood cells- no nucleus to carry around more oxygen nerve cells-
