Definition of status relative social or professional position.
Cultural diversity Difference and variety found in societies.
What is a subculture? A small group within a majority.
Example of a subculture. Punks or indies
Egalitarian When everyone is equal within society.
Collectivism When everyone shares their own things, being beliefs or possessions.
Individualism Where people have their own things and do not share, like a toy for example.
Sociological perspective The process through we learn to fit in.
What is a feral child? When a child doesn't go through the socialisation process.
What group of people are 'Primary Socialisation'? Family/parents
What do parents do during socialisation? Develop numeracy and literacy skills, teaching morals, learning to control feelings and learning social roles.
