Cards in this deck (74)

  1. 1BIG DATA~
  2. 2Big DataA term used to describe massive volumes of structured/unstructured data that is so large it's difficult to move and process using traditional database and software techniques.
  3. 3Amazon AthenaAn interactive query service that makes it easy to analyze data directly in Amazon S3 using standard SQL. It can take a bunch of CSV or JSON files in the S3 bucket and load them into temporary SQL tables, so it's possible to run SQL queries.
Athena SQL and Apache Spark on Amazon Athena are serverless, so there is no infrastructure to set up or manage, and you pay only for the queries you run. Athena scales automatically—running queries in parallel—so results are fast, even with large datasets and complex queries.
  4. 4Amazon OpenSearchOpenSearch is a fully open-source search and analytics engine for use cases such as log analytics, real-time application monitoring, and clickstream analysis. Amazon OpenSearch Service provisions all the resources for your OpenSearch cluster and launches it.
  5. 5Amazon EMRAmazon EMR, which was previously called Amazon Elastic MapReduce, is a managed cluster platform that simplifies running big data frameworks, such as Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark, on AWS to process and analyze vast amounts of data. Using these frameworks and related open-source projects, you can process data for analytics purposes and business intelligence workloads. Amazon EMR also lets you transform and move large amounts of data into and out of other AWS data stores and databases, such as Amazon S3 and Amazon DynamoDB.

It's a fully managed service that continuously monitors S3 data access activity for anomalies, and generates detailed alerts when it detects risk of unauthorized access or inadvertent data leaks.
  48. 48AWS Web Application Firewall (WAF)A web application firewall that lets you monitor the HTTP(S) requests that are forwarded to your protected web application resources.
AWS WAF lets you control access to your content. Based on criteria that you specify, such as the IP addresses that requests originate from or the values of query strings, the service associated with your protected resource responds to requests either with the requested content, with an HTTP 403 status code (Forbidden), or with a custom response.
  49. 49AWS Key Management Service (KMS)AWS managed service that makes it easy for you to create and control the keys used to encrypt and sign your data. The AWS KMS keys that you create in AWS KMS are protected by FIPS 140-3 Security Level 3 validated hardware security modules (HSM). They never leave AWS KMS unencrypted. To use or manage your KMS keys, you interact with AWS KMS.
When you encrypt data, you need to protect your encryption key. If you encrypt your key, you need to protect its encryption key. Eventually, you must protect the highest level encryption key (known as a root key) in the hierarchy that protects your data. That's where AWS KMS comes in.
  50. 50AWS CloudHSMCombines the benefits of the AWS cloud with the security of hardware security modules (HSMs).
