| How do you value the natural environment? | with recreation and adventure, because the activities i do, i enjoy them, they amuse me and bring me pleasure. i also love the risks and excitement that is come from adventure. |

| how has technology changed over time? | Technology has changed over time in various good and bad ways. EG a GPS, in about the 1960’s was a small cheap team that was not very popular, and now the GPS is very popular and can be very expensive. |
| How do you understand a particular environment | I personally understand an environment through experience. I experience the environment and know it through that. Eg,walking at Wilsons Prom or Swimming with the seals. |

| SES | We may not be able to afford equipment. Example: surfing, the wetsuit and the surfboard may be to much. Traveling to the surf spot. If you are staying overnight. |
| Age | Whether young or old you will have barriers in participating in a certain activity. |
| gender | Some activities can be seen as either male or female activity, or it is a both gender activity. |
| physical ability | For example, a person may only have one leg, so if there were participating in hiking or surfing it would make it a lot more difficult to move around. Or equipment can be modified to make it easier. |
| cultural background | Clothing, some religions have to always wearing clothes or covering a certain amount of skin, this can make it harder to participate in an activity like surfing. |
