Compare the U.S and N.C Senate N.C Senate has 4 levels of courts for cases to be covered more in depth while federal courts only have 3 levels. Federal has a jury at district court cases but State doesn't. State gets a jury in superior court. The supreme court is the court of last resort for both state and federal.
