Independent Variable	The only thing that you change about something. Ex: There are 3 plants. They had the same light, soil, water, and type of plant. Sparky decided to conduct a experiment. He changed the light-the independent variable-but that was the only thing he changed in the experiment.
Dependent Variable	The dependent variable is the thing that gets affected when you change the one thing(the independent variable). Ex: Sparky saw that when he changed the independent variable that the plant with the most light grew the most, the plant with the medium light grew the 2nd most, and the plant with the worst light grew last.
Controlled Variable	The unchanged/untouched things that stay the same in a experiment. Ex: The controlled variables in Sparky's experiment were the soil, water, and plant type.
Hubble Space Telescope	The Hubble Space Telescope (HST) is a space telescope that was launched into low Earth orbit in 1990, and remains in operation. Although not the first space telescope, Hubble is one of the largest and most versatile, and is well known as both a vital research tool and a public relations boon for astronomy. It has taken pictures of celestial objects, galaxies, and has places in space named after it.
Kepler Space Telescope	Kepler is a space observatory launched by NASA to discover Earth-size planets orbiting other stars. Named after astronomer Johannes Kepler, the spacecraft was launched on March 7, 2009, into an Earth-trailing heliocentric orbit.
