Larsonneur 1933 A woman was removed from the country for being an illegal immigrant. She was brought back by the police and was charged with being an "alien"
Gibbins and Proctor 1918 The defendant and his mistress starved his daughter to death. Both were found guilty. A duty because of a relationship
Stone and Dobinson 1977 The defendant's elderly sister lived with him. She often forgot to eat and D made no attempt to get her help. Duty undertaken voluntarily
Evans 2009 V was 16 and addicted to heroin. Her half sister bought her some and she self injected. V overdosed and died because D did nothing to help. Duty undertaken voluntarily
Dytham A police officer was on duty and saw a man kick out of a club who was then beaten up. Rather than helping D told a passerby he was going off duty and left. Duty through one's official position
Miller 1983 D was squatting in a house. He went to bed with a lit cigarette which set a mattress on fire. Rather than getting help he moved to another room and fell asleep. Duty because of a chain of events
