Biospehere	The part of the Earth that is inhabited by organisms
Productivity	Production per unit time
Gross productivity	Total gain in energy or biomass per unit area per unit time
Net productivity	Gain in biomass per unit area per unit time that remains after respiration
Primary productivity	Productivity by plants
Secondary productivity	Productivity in animals
Net primary productivity (calculation)	NPP = GPP - R
Net secondary productivity (calculation)	NSP = GSP - R
