Question Answer
What happened at the 1933 League Disarmament conference? France refused to disarm and Germany left the conference and the league.
What happened after the conference? Hitler began to rearm Germany and by 1935, Conscription was introduced (breaking the terms of the Treaty of Versailles). BR and FR did very little (occupied with Abyssinian crisis+depression).
What was the non-aggression with Poland? Germany and Poland signed a pact in 1934, guaranteeing Polish boundaries for 10 years. This pleased the british, who saw Hitler as more peaceful. Hitler was actually "buying time".
What was the Anglo-German naval agreement? In in 1935, Britain and Germany signed this allowing the Germans to build up their navy to 35% of the British navy with no limits on submarines
Significance of the Anglo-German naval agreement? Allowing Hitler to openly break the terms of the Treaty of Versailles. Agreement was signed without consulting the French (damaged British-French relations).
