Why did the Sudetenland trigger other problems? Encouraged other ethnic groups to gain independence from the Czechs. Strength had gone and the president couldn't control his nation.
When did power get handed over to Hitler? March 1939. German troops then marched in. BR and FR protested but did nothing to stop these events.
Significance of Hitler gaining power of Czechoslovakia? March 1939 was the end of appeasement. Hitler proved he couldn't be trusted, breaking his promise in September 1938 in Munich. BR and FR signed an agreement promising to protect Poland if they were invaded. Britain seeded up rearmament and introduced conscription.
