The food Pyramid: What are fats used for? Fats are used to store energy.
what are carbohydrates good for and what happens if u don't get enough of them? carbohydrates are good for your health and if you don't get enough of them you don't obtain enough energy.
what are protein's good for and what types of food contain protein? protein is good for your growth and meat, eggs, fish, lentils, cheese etc. all contain protein.
what are vitamins and minerals good for and why do we need them? vitamins and minerals are good for your health and they are also needed to keep us healthy.
what foods contain fat and what happens if we don't get enough of them? oils, butter, nuts, cakes, sweets are examples of foods that contain fats. if we don't consume enough fat you would start to feel weak and not be able to do stuff. This is one of the main side affects when having anorexia or bulimia.
what foods contain vitamins and minerals and what happens if we don't get enough of it? fruits and vegetables contain high source of vitamins and minerals and bad illnesses can be developed if you don't get enough of them.
what group does cereal, bread, pasta, potato etc. belong in? carbohydrates
why do we need to eat protein? we need to eat protein because it is good for growth and repair of body tissues.
what do fat molecules contain? the fat molecules contains glycerol and fatty acids.

what temperature and Ph do enzymes work at? Enzymes work at (37-40° C) and a Ph of 7 (neutral).
what does starch break down into? sugar molecules (carbohydrase)
What does protein break down into? amino acid molecules (protease)
What are fat enzymes made up of? (3 things) Lipase, fatty acids and glycerol
what has vit. A in it? & is there any illness if you lack eating vit. A? Carrots have vitamin A in them and there are no illnesses if you don't have enough vitamin A.
which foods that contain Vitamin C and is there any illnesses if you lack eating Vit. C? Oranges, lemons and strawberries all contain Vitamin C. You develop scurvy if you lack eating Vitamin C.
What food contains Iron? what illness can you develop if you lack eating Iron? Liver, red meat, leafy vegetables all contain Iron and the illness you can develop is called Anemia.
What food contains Iodine in it? & what illness can you develop if you lack Iodine? Dried seaweed, cod, potato peel, milk and shrimps are all examples of food that contain Iodine. The sickness you can develop is called Thyroids.
what foods contain calcium? & what illness/es can you develop if you don't have enough calcium in your body? Yogurt, cheeses, milk and broccoli all contain calcium. the illnesses you can develop are called Osteoporosis and Rickets.
what foods contain fiber and what disease can you get from lack of fiber? Oatmeal, bread, barley roots and vegetables all contain and source of fiber. the diseases you can get from lack of fiber are called Inflammatory and bowel disease.
