- 1Tidal power - what is it?a tidal power station traps water from each high tide behind a barrage. The high tide can be released into the sea through turbines. The turbines turn generators in the barrage.
- 2Advantages→ Renewable and does not produce waste gases. Quite reliable since tides go up and down each day, although the height differs
- 3disadvantages→ Affect river estuaries and affect wildlife and plants there.
→ height of tide depends on both yearly and monthly cycle.
