French and Belgium soldiers invade the Ruhr

The German government orders the workers to go on strike (passive resistance)

French and Belgium soldiers were brutal, they killed 100 workers

The gov. promised to pay the workers, but they were low on money as the Ruhr wasn't making produce

To pay the workers they printed large amounts of money

The workers began to spend their money quickly so shopkeepers raised their prices

As the shops raised their prices the gov. responded by printing more money

Soon money became worthless and many people lost their savings

The German gov. lost a lot of support as people were looking for someone to blame
